Greetings, hi, hello.

Welcome to my site. This is where I showcase my work and write about this thing called life. Enjoy!

Hey, look at that. Another year down. Coming up on ten years of blogging at this domain (with a break here and there). I thought about looking back on the decade, but what’s the point? It’s all in the archives. Instead, let’s talk about 2019 and a few favorites. In no particular order:

  • Harry Styles - Fine Line. Sure, Pitchfork only gave it a six, but I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up. And no, I’m not being sarcastic.

  • Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe. This book. Holy moly. If you like history and/or true crime, it’s for you. Even if you don’t, read it.

  • The Zen of Weight Lifting. A repeat mention because I found powerlifting this year, and the article explains why better than I ever could.

  • Georgia Maq - Pleaser. Oh look, another album Pitchfork gave a middling review to that I love. No surprise here, Maq’s other project, Camp Cope, was my top album of 2018.

  • Elizabeth Suzann Clyde Jumpsuit. An investment piece that’s already shown its return. Considering getting the linen one for warmer weather.

  • Hiroshima-Style Okonomiyaki. Jesse requested this for his birthday, which meant I had to learn how to make it. This dish is worth the effort.

  • Griefbacon’s Things to Do in New York City. I’m sad to see this newsletter come to an end, mostly because of pieces like this one.

  • Bad Blood by John Carreyou. When it comes to the Elizabeth Holmes-Theranos' story, the truth is stranger than fiction.

  • Went to Alaska. There’s something magical about a world mostly untouched by human hands (coming from the most densely populated state in the country).

That’s all for now. Until next YEAR - thanks for following along.
