Greetings, hi, hello.

Welcome to my site. This is where I showcase my work and write about this thing called life. Enjoy!

Weekend coffee #52.

Weekend coffee #52.

There it is. The end of the year and an interesting month. Big changes coming in the next few weeks, too. I’m not sure 2018 hit the mark for everyone but I’ll talk more about my own experiences in a post soon. For now, I’m keen to consume as many Trader Joe’s appetizers as possible before the ball drops and jump in the ocean come January 1. That’s my idea of a tradition. Anyway, here’s what I’m thinking about in the final countdown to 2019:

  • Derry Girls on Netflix. I started watching this just after Christmas and recommend for anyone into teen dramas set against political conflict. Bonus points for the killer 90s soundtrack.

  • Holy shit, this essay by Elizabeth Wurtzel. Read it all the way through and be sure to check out the reference links along the way. It’s a wild ride. (Also, Prozac Nation - another 90s throwback).

  • A semi-entertaining listicle about the year’s most interesting advertising campaigns. I like these because I typically forget what came out in a given time frame.

  • I really want a gravity blanket. My issues with sleep date back as far as I can remember and the reviews seem legit, my only hangup is the price tag on some of the better options. Thoughts?

  • This is moderately depressing but also explains why my attempt at genealogical research ends only a few generations back. No one remembers one of my great grandmothers’ last names.

  • Also, still mulling over the idea of micro resolutions. Maybe 12 goals for 2019? Where to start.

Until next year. Stay safe and sane.
