Weekend coffee #160.
What can I say about this week that hasn’t already been said? We saw a four-year nightmare come to an end and the faintest glimmer of hope for the next four. As excited as I am to have made it past January 20, I’m not going to pretend everything is better. There’s work to be done and I’m not confident, based on this country’s track records, that we have what we need to fix the systemic and structural inequities at play. But damn Bernie’s mittens looked warm. Otherwise, here’s what else happened:
Meet 22-year-old Amanda Gorman, the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history
45,000-Year-Old Pig Painting in Indonesia May Be Oldest Known Animal Art
Currently watching: Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer
Currently reading: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
That’s all for now. Until next time - thanks for following along and be well.
