Weekend coffee #222.
I’m back from a few days at the Dominican Treehouse Village. Admittedly, the Dominican Republic was never really on my radar before I found this place. I didn’t know much about the country beyond what I had heard from other travelers and what I remembered of a fourth-grade friend named Juan. Going in without expectations, I found the experience rather enchanting. Travel days were tough because of the sheer distance from the Santo Domingo airport to the hotel (and you haven’t lived until you’ve tried to do a Covid test in the back of a van), but otherwise, the El Valle area felt like transporting to a different planet. If there’s one positive to come out of the pandemic, it is my heightened appreciation for seeing new places.
Otherwise, here’s a quick look at what’s going on:
How Letterkenny Makes Locals of All of Us - going to see them in a couple of weeks!
I’ve definitely mentioned how much we loved the Boardwalk Hotel in Aruba before so this would be a dream.
Obsessed with these jeans as the normcore takes over my late thirty-something body.
