Weekend coffee #218 + 219.
I inadvertently took last weekend off from this practice, realizing that I had little to offer amid the state of the world. My aim with these posts is primarily cheeky and trite, providing a compendium of the links and articles I found noteworthy through my travels across the internet. But as someone who communicates for a living, there isn’t always a whole lot of brainpower left when I get around to writing each piece. Over time, that’s resulted in shorter, less personal opening remarks that reflect my disinterest from oversharing online. With the exception of Twitter and LinkedIn, both necessary professional tools, my social media footprint is limited to a private Instagram account that I updated with less frequency. After the last two years, it feels like there is simply too much going on at all times to contribute more than I am. That said, here’s a look at the last two weeks:
I picked up a copy of Strangers I Know, written by the cousin of a friend.
Appears our lives really do flash before our eyes at the end.
Eavesdropping seals feel lighthearted considering what’s been going on lately.
Considering this tile for an upcoming update.
Maybe it’s because I lack musical prowess, but I’ve always responded to vocals first.
“I’m right on top of that, Rose” is my default.
Currently reading: Late on this one but recently finished An American Marriage by Tayari Jones.
Currently watching: Jesse insisted we try Still Game on a recommendation.
That’s all I got. Thanks for following along and catch a break when you need one (like Ruby did while I was trying to make the bed).
