Weekend coffee #239.

I’m not sure anyone is talking about anything other than the weather. It’s hotter than hell and doesn’t look like it will break until after the weekend. That said, weeks ago, I dubbed this the summer of the spritz but I haven’t made good on that until now. So I’ll be spending the next few days concocting cold sparkling beverages and either hiding in the AC or standing in a body of water. Certainly not the worst way to pass the time. Otherwise, here’s a look at what else is happening:

• Pink grapefruit gin spritz - first up on my list.

• Smogware is a tableware collection glazed with air pollutants.

• A valuable lesson shared by my friend Laura.

• You Can Now Rent Prince’s Former Turks and Caicos Beach House.

• Not sure I can pull off this color but I might try anyway.

• Currently watching: Girl in the Picture.

• Currently reading: Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand, queen of the beach read.
