Aug 27 Weekend coffee #244.

There’s … a lot … happening over here. Specifically around our house, which we decided recently to continue renovating rather than selling (look at you, crazy real estate market). So much of the last few days was spent coordinating with the contractors, listening to the sweet sounds of nail guns and Sawzalls, trying to keep the dogs chill and, generally, not losing my mind. As such, this is probably going to be a rather light update.

Why we keep falling for fitness fads. I don’t have a Peloton, but I definitely go to Lagree a few times a week so #guilty.
Made this almond cake last weekend, and though I overmixed it a tad, the flavor was amazing. I’ll definitely make it again. (H/T Laura)
When I saw Joe Pesci trending on Twitter, I got nervous after the last few months. Glad to see he’s coming out of retirement.

Part of our reno projects involves new siding. Not usually a Magnolia fan, but I’m a little bummed this new James Hardie collection came out the week ours got delivered.
At the same time, I definitely agree there’s some blame to be placed around The HGTV-ification of America.

Currently watching: I tried Selling the OC this week and couldn’t even make it through an entire episode.
